Las Comadres Para Las Americas
www.lascomadres.org
Las Comadres Para Las Americas, a 501(c)(3) organization, is an informal internet-based group that meets monthly in many US cities to build connections and community with other Latinas. Since April of 2000 we have been building relationships, doing business together, helping each other find jobs, sharing news and introducing comadres and learning about/celebrating our Latinidad. We are creating "legacy" programs to provide educational opportunities that lay the foundations of wealth, health, career, and making our voices heard. Join over 10,000 Latinas who connect with their comadres every day. (We are umbrelled by The Austin Community Foundation, also a 501(c)(3). For more info: http://www.austincommunityfoundation.org). Michael A Holm
michaelaholm.webs.com/
Michael A. Holm is currently an Eighth Grade Language Arts Teacher at Tortolita Middle School in Tucson, Az. . His current focus on writing instruction is something that he considers extremely fulfilling, but he always jumps at the chance to do writing of his own when the opportunity presents itself. Michael has had a number of poems published in journals and anthologies, and most recently, one of his greatest dreams has become a realization as his first children's book was released in March of 2008 (Little Princess Sadie: A Poem about the Sour Smell of a Lovely Little Lady) As the son of a Cherokee/Muscogee (Creek) father and a Jewish mother, Michael has had a rich cultural upbringing. Although Michael devotes his writing time to different types of fiction, he hopes to have the opportunity to share his unique stories through multicultural children's literature and poetry. Sowing the Seeds
www.sowingtheseedsdetucson.org
Sowing the Seeds is a collective of women writers in Tucson, Arizona. We've been active since we were founded in 2000 to promote the humanities in our community. Initially we were sponsored by the Southwest Institute of Research on Women (SIROW) at the University of Arizona to receive grant funds from the Arizona Humanities Council and the Stocker Foundation but have been self sufficient since 2001. Besides our meetings to share and critique our writing, we also sponsor quality writing workshops and conferences with known guest facilitators and presenters. Posted at 10:43pm on Mon, Oct 12 2009

Random Thoughts of Uncommon Sense
www.randomthoughtsofuncommonsense.blogspot.com
Who am I? I think the name of my blog pretty much sums it up. I have been accused, on more than one occasion, of two things: having in my possession an endless supply of random (and usually trivial) thoughts. The other is that I don't exactly have much common sense. But in this crazy, topsy-turvy world, maybe uncommon sense is just the thing I've needed all along. Posted at 10:45pm on Mon, Oct 12 2009
